One of our goals as an organization is to give the school district the flexibility to try out new, innovative ideas without the risk of compromising other budgetary needs. When we commit to a program, we typically provide funding for a few years until the program has proven itself, at which time HUSD takes on those program costs and we find new ways to lend our support.
The following programs have previously been funded by the Healdsburg Education Foundation, and have since been assumed by the HUSD budget and/or other funding sources.

...Is that all? Almost, but not quite. :) As a community nonprofit, HEF also facilitates school fundraisers that need to be passed through a 501c3. We aid groups raising money for the annual Healdsburg Science Fair, the annual Sophomore Class Fundraiser, as well student fundraisers for disaster relief. Lastly, HEF connects our schools with members of the community who want to make gifts for specific purposes that may fall outside the scope of our current programs. This includes gifts to the Math & Science Department at HHS, donations to specific teachers, the school libraries, the HHS Auto-shop Program, and more. |
