About us

The Healdsburg Education Foundation (HEF) was founded in 1985 to raise funds for our Healdsburg pre K-12 public schools. Our Board of Directors come from all walks of life, but share a common conviction: that ALL public school students deserve an excellent education. Our mission is to bring our public schools and community together to promote and invest in programs and initiatives that have the greatest impact on student learning, and that help prepare our students for college, career, and citizenship.

Enrichment Classes

HEF believes that providing an excellent education to our students means giving them many different directions to explore their interests. HEF has raised enrichment funds in the following areas, K-12:
  • Visual & Performing Arts
  • Music & Band
  • Coding & Robotics
  • Gardening, Nutrition, & Plant + Soil Science
  • Film & Media

College & Career Readiness

HEF's ultimate goal is to see our HUSD students successful in their college and career aspirations. Money for college and career initiatives goes towards:
  • College Visits for 8th-11th graders
  • PSAT Exams for all 11th Graders
  • The Healdsburg High School Internship Program
  • Career Technical Education (CTE) Courses like the Construction and Sustainability Academy (CASA) and the Culinary Arts Academy
